Cafe | 2D Cafe

It's been a while since I publish a cafe post, so I am starting my May with this newly opened cafe that I managed to squeezed some time to visit on the last week of April. When I first saw the photos when my sister showed it to me, I'm like, "ohh... they copied the 2D cafe in Hongdae, Seoul." and my sister thought that this is the first cafe in the world with a themed like that and I'm like, " no lah, bersepah dah cafe macam ni."
Anyway, we weren't planning to visit because I know about new and overly-hyped cafes environment would be like...... crowded that's what so we didn't even bother at all. We were buying some groceries at Mercato, Pavilion when we decided to visit the cafe because we finished our errands early and we don't know where else to go. So we waited and wasted so much time inside the mall to avoid rush hour from Pavilion to Subang Jaya. With the constructions and everything that was going on at the moment (in KL), it took us a while to get there. But we saved time on finding the place because fortunately when I looked at the address, the cafe is inside the same building with La Fleur x Uniqorn that I went before.
ADDRESS:
F-03, 10, Jalan Lagoon Selatan,
Sunway Geo Avenue,
47500, Subang Jaya,
Selangor

Normally I would put the interior photos at the very last but this time, the food and drinks is not the main attraction, but the interior is. People would just walked in and buy a few drinks to go and then spent hours taking photos inside the cafe. There are a few sections in the cafe, the vending machine, the classroom, the dining area, the corridor, the throne chair and last but not least the bathroom with a ball pit/pool. I didn't get to take photos of the throne chair, the classroom and the corridor but I did take a few photos of myself being inside the classroom from the window outside the classroom.

I didn't take any pictures of the menu but trust me when I say that the bubble tea is overpriced. I would never buy it ever again. We bought the Brown Sugar Bubble Tea (RM14.90) and Fresh Milk Bubble Tea (RM14.90) as recommended by the staff and guess what? The brown sugar bubble tea's taste didn't live up to its name. It was so bland and worse, the tapioca pearl is so little why so stingy lah weh! I can't believe I paid 15 bucks for that crap and should've go with something else instead. The fresh milk was so-so. Tasted like normal milk with pearl in it. Pandai buat duit. Put some 5-6 ringgit of milk and add some sugar and a few beads of tapioca pearls and slap a huge RM14.90 price tag on it. A few sips and the pearl is gone weh! That's it, this is my first and last. Can get better drinks somewhere else. I'm not sure about the food though, probably will never go back to try the food or maybe I will, we'll see.

If you a little fussy about what you're paying like me, better save your money and buy The Alley's or Tiger Sugar's bubble tea. Cheaper and better. For me, if the pearl finished first than the liquid, I will never buy it again.

Since we got our little baby Jayden along with us, my sister wants to take a lot of photos of him in the cafe so I am gladly to be their personal photographer for the day. And what I like about this photo was that we accidentally wore monochrome colour scheme to match the cafe's interior without looking too bold. Normally Jayden would act up whenever he's in a cafe or restaurant but thankfully he behaved nicely and just sleep the entire time making everything easier for the daddy to carry him around and for the mommy and aunt to strike a pose.

Being an introvert, I would never want to be photographed or be in front of the camera but the cafe interior is too nice to pass it on. I am glad that I carried my long flap bucket hat and try to play it safe by hiding my face under the hat and behind the 2D window. I guess this hat will always be in my bag wherever I go because that way, I can take lots of photos with it (with my face hidden behind it). This one was a lucky shot because there were so many people that it was almost impossible to get a shot without someone photobombing.

At the very back of the cafe, there's something that other 2D cafe didn't have, a monochrome ball pit for the patrons to take photos at. I must say that the ball pit is the most crowded photo zone in the cafe and lucky for us there weren't a single soul when I wanted to take pictures in there because I hate queueing for photos (yes, they queued for it after we're done). I had an amazing time with my sister because we both is such an enthusiast photographer and she and I even stood up on the pool edge to take a nicer shots. I love how everything came out, definitely not this one because most photos that me and my sister took was in square, not really suitable to upload them up here in my blog.

I must say, this post contains the most easiest photos to edit with. Everything was black and white which makes my job easier and us not wearing much colour helped me getting the work done extra fast too. I would come back to this cafe for the food but never for the bubble tea, ever again. Such a huge disappointment but then again, maybe they are still new but still. Anyway, if you planning to come here, please make sure that all your devices is fully charged because unlike me, my phone died in the middle of taking photos but thankfully I brought my powerbank. It was a pretty long post but I hope you guys have fun reading it. Much love, T.

  1. I always enjoyed it, reading your post. Sometimes I would smile and giggled by myself (nasib baik I was alone whenever I'm reading your blog) most of the time. That is way to overpriced for me. Plus that size is not worth it. Lucky I'm not a fan of bubble tea, I'd rather spend my money on Starbucks. hehe

Same for me, way too overpriced. I'd rather buy Starbucks and I don't even drink Starbucks.

  3. I somehow knew that you'll pay a visit to this place. Have read similar things about their drinks. Kinda disappointing. Heard the food is also so-so.

The drinks, tak payah beli, bring your own water and just buy the food. Seriously, not worth it. They need to improve it drastically.
The food is so-so too? Haiyo!

    1. Just like kids drawings, right?
If I know it was crowded inside and staff didn't even came out of the kitchen, I wouldn't pay for anything and just boldly take lots of photos but I know that wouldn't be so nice of me of doing that, tapi mmg tak berbaloi pun bayar air mahal camtu.
