June Favourites | 2019

Yup, I changed my blog's name again. Eunoia : well mind / beautiful thinking. I guess this time it'll stay because I like the meaning of it. Anyway, back with last month's compilation of my favourite everything. I can't believe I only had like one blog post on June. I guess I was so in Raya mood that I totally forgot about my blog. But don't worry, I got everything covered so let's just get right into it.
THE CULOTTE SISTERS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I've always been a pants girl. I have never wore a skirt for decades now ⎯ Baju Kurung's bottom is an exceptional by the way. So last May, my sister said that I should cut down on the jeans and get myself a few pairs of culotte pants because it is so comfortable. I got a few for myself and I finally admit that I missed out on this comfy goodness for such a long time. Now I've been obsessing over it and couldn't stop myself from buying more of it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
EID DAY SHENANIGANS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This year's Eid is far different from any other Eid before. We used to spend a few nights at my aunt's house (was my grandmother's house) and do our own stuff by day and just watching movies in our own space upstairs by night. But this year, it's different in every single aspect. We spend the day convoyed with 5-6 cars going to a lot of houses of our relatives that I don't even know of, and spend the night making 'lemang' (first time making it with my brother) and 'rendang' like how my dad liked it. And most importantly, we spend the entire day with each other. P/s: I was going to include photos of us making lemang and rendang and other shenanigans but maybe in a separate post? hehe ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
TEALIVE SOFT SERVE

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ To be honest I did not know how Brown Sugar Tapioca Pearl drinks aka boba aka bubble tea becoming such a craze in Malaysia. I can't tell who starting it first. And with that, Tealive stepping up their game by introducing Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea soft serve. Unfortunately, this goodness only available at selected stores. I believe only 3 major Tealive stores has it, and lucky for me, one of the three stores is a few miles away from my house so it's easy for me to get this whenever I want. I have to say that it's really delicious and creamy. One cost about RM5 but it become half price if you buy 2. So I got 2 for RM5 and another for RM5... I think. hehe I totally forgot how much I paid for these. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BACK ON TUMBLR (NEW THEMES)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Before I started making my own blog templates (back in 2012), I earned commission by making Tumblr themes for other Tumblr users, and from Tumblr too I learned all about coding and layout making. But I stopped using Tumblr a few years ago because both my laptop was broken and also when I noticed how heavy data consuming Tumblr is when I use my phone so I put all my attention on Instagram and Blogger. However, Last few months I decided to download Tumblr on my phone again and given the unlimited mobile data, I decided to be active on Tumblr again. Also, after 7 years, I finally changed layout (or 'theme' for Tumblr) for both of my tumblrs and I like how it looks, especially my food tumblr which looks like an Instagram. But that instagram theme is temporary until I made a nicer layout for it. I actually in the process of making a studyblr (study tumblr) where I can post my personal photos and studying session freely. But it's still on hold because I am still working on a theme/template for it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE SIMS 4

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If it wasn't for this one instagram influencer who made an instastory about how Origin and EA Games gave out THE SIMS 4 for free, I wouldn't have known. So, thank you to her I got my own The Sims for free and I've been spending so much time on it. But sadly for others who wants to download the game, it was for a limited time only. The offer has expired. I gave my EA account that contain the sims zip file to one of my insta follower but I learned that we both can't play it at the same time using the same account. Sorry for the others. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
EID AT UNCLE'S

My aunt cooked a feast for dinner!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ My uncle and aunt moved to Ipoh last year and I've only been to their new house twice. So last Eid, we decided to make a surprise visit bringing my 4 months old nephew to see them. We spend a night there because we planned to go up to Cameron Highland the next day before going home. It was an old house with a British elements in it. I will make a separate post about our time there because it was so much fun, it's been a long time since I see them.  ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SHORT TRIP TO CAMERON HIGHLAND

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━  Cameron Highland and Ipoh is not that far so this time, instead of going to our usual places in Cameron Highland, I brought my sister and her husband to the Strawberry farm that we've always wanted to go but didn't get the chance because we were always late for it. But we made it in time and as always, my brother-in-law went crazy with the food ordering by getting so many sweets for all of us. Alhamdulillah we managed to finish them all. My favourite has to be the waffle with ice cream and strawberry jam. Almost as good as A&W's. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SUGAR TIGER'S BOBA

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Just like every other Malaysian that is crazy for Brown Sugar bubble tea, my sister is the freak among our family members. I lost count of how many boba she drinks every week. She's been trying all kinds of boba and she always dragged me into it because she said "queueing hours to buy only one boba is such a waste, might as well get a few." So I've secretly been making a list of good boba myself and I must say, between 2D Cafe, The Alley, Xing Fu Tang, Daboba, Tealive, The Black Whale, Gong Cha, Kiss The Tiramisu and so many other boba shops, Sugar Tiger is at the top of my list. Currently my number one. And my sister thought the same too. Sugar Tiger is currently number one in all of my family's boba list. Worth the waiting and the money. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

So that was my June. Pretty twisted and random. I am thankful for my siblings for always planning a last minute impromptu trip and rendezvous for all of us. Even though I hate my sister for always ruining my diet but at least I know I got someone who would always say yes to good food and good places. I had an amazing Eid, amazing new experiences and amazing people that will always be there for me. I am forever thankful and grateful for my small circle and a bit of happiness after each obstacles.
