May Favourites | 2019

Can't believe it's already the month of June now. Another month means another new monthly favourite. This time I posted it on time because I already wrote down in my notebook and I scheduled everything in advanced. That way I won't have to worry about writing on Eid. In fact, I don't want to write at all during festive season. Unless if the day gets a little boring but hopefully not. So, here's my favourites from last month.
BUNDT CAKE

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ My brother's girlfriend ordered more than half a dozen of this chocolate lava bundt cake to donate them at the orphanage that she went to for Iftar on the first week of Ramadan. She saved one for us. It was really good. I know my sister is not a big dessert fan but she ate this like A LOT! Probably half of it. My dad would never go near it and knowing my brother-in-law, he only ate a small piece of it. So just me and my sister who literally ate everything. And it only lasted for 2 days... or maybe less. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
PVC CROSSBODY BAG

If you are wondering how big it is, it's bigger than the 1st gen iPad, couldn't fit the pro though.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I can't promise this would be my last pvc bag because I honestly planning to buy more to add into my collection. My sister got this one off Aliexpress. I waited for 3 months for this bag to reached my hand. She placed the order on February but it got lost on its way to me. I wanted to open dispute for a refund but lucky me, the seller was kind enough to send a new one. So, I waited for another 50+ days for the new one to reached me. I always think I look ridiculous wearing crossbody bag because I'm fat and all but it looks okay on me that was why I love it. And the size is kind of perfect. The size of an A4 paper, not too small and not too big. And it fits all my stuff in there. This is my new favourite bag for cafe outing or just any outing. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
7/11's DONUT

 

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I rarely buy instant(?) donut especially at 7/11. I was buying some drinks and I saw this donut at the bread section but only 1 left. And I was thinking, "was it that good that it's almost sold out?" So I bought the last donut and man, it was so good! For RM1.90, I'd buy a bag of this to snack it during a movie or something. It was soooo good! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
IFTAR AT NEIGHBOURS COFFEE BAR

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If you haven't read my post about it, you can read it here. There's nothing that I dislike here. I love everything they make and I will eat here everyday if I could. And my brother has been talking about it for a while. They are not a cafe goer but they told me that this one is an exception.  ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
INDO MIE SALTED EGG NOODLE

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This noodle is so hard to find at our regular grocery stores. So far, it can only be find at imported grocers like Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer or Cold Storage. I haven't seen it at Giant, Tesco, Hero Market or Aeon Big so far. Just it doesn't come in a pack of 5 like other instant noodles. It comes in a loose pack and the price is about RM1.20 each. But I believe that they are also available at 7/11 but the price is twice than normal. Those who love salted egg flavour, will definitely love this one. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
FAN ART ZINE + STICKER and POSTCARDS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I failed to stay away from cute stickers and postcard but this fan artist even have zine set! What could be better? I love a cute zine and the stuff that comes with it? Super cute! The pin badge, another mini postcard, and a few more stickers? I didn't regret it. Best RM40 I've ever spent on something like this. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BOXY PHONE CASES

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ It's been a while since I bought a phone case. I always go with the crazy and bold ones but this time I want something simple but different. I bought 3 colours. Transparent because I love transparent and we all should have at least one transparent case in my opinion. Pink because it's my favourite colour and lime green to match with NCT signature colour. Probably will add some stuff on it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

OVERSIZE BUCKET HAT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I'm not really a hat person because I think I look so weird wearing a hat but a few weeks ago, I told my sister that I want to buy and own at least one bucket hat to hide my face whenever I go out and my sister bought one for me but I'm not sure if she was being sarcastic or what, she got me the long flap bucket hat that literally hide my face when I wear it. BUT I LOVE IT! THIS HAT IS SO FOR ME. And just like water, earphone and wallet, I've been carrying this hat in my bag ALL THE TIME ever since. I might need to get the normal bucket hat too just in case. But trust me when I say with this hat, I gained a little more confident to be photographed because at least I am in the picture but not my face. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
MOTM: NCT 127 - SUPERHUMAN
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Last but not least, music of the month is by none other than my favourite boys who just got back from North America tour but now is in LA again and off to Europe tour, NCT 127 who releases their new comeback song when they kick off their US tour and performed the snippet of the song on Good Morning America and full song on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Superhuman. Been watching a lot reactions video to the songs and they all impressed by it. Even I, myself, is impressed by the songs and the music videos. If you want to watch it, keep your eyes on the transitions. You'll be amaze! Not many MV that was produced with that kind of transitions after what I watch from WayV - Take Off video. Now this is what I call, Neo Culture Technology (NCT). ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

So yeah, that was it. This is one of my early monthly favourite post I ever publish. I made this draft in April, just in case I couldn't bring myself to write during this Ramadan but Alhamdulillah, so far I didn't feel lazy to write or edit or anything that involves blogging. Too much good stuff is bad stuff, they said. Blogging is good but spending too much time on it, and neglecting other matters is not a good idea either. I can't wait to spend more time with my family, my nephew and my cats. Can't wait to devour everything on my sight and suffer about it later. Can't wait to visit my late mom and recite Yassin and prayers for her. I just can't wait. So, I wanted to apologise to all my readers if I ever made a mistake or say (or write) something hurtful that I may not realised that I did. So, before it's too late, I wanted to say Eid Mubarak to all my muslim readers wherever you may be celebrating it. Anyone going to the North this Eid? We're gang!!
