Cafe | The Tiny Temptress, Bangsar

The Tiny Temptress, Bangsar

I discovered this contemporary cafe on Instagram. I was attracted to its dessert selections, especially the unicorn cake. I showed it to my friends but most of them are just too busy that week and it just so happened that my brother on his way to meet his friend at Bangsar and he said he can drop me off and pick me up if I wanted a ride hence I hung out all by myself just until he was done meeting his friend. Like I mentioned, the cafe was located in Bangsar, Jalan Telawi 2. Next to Coffea Coffee and opposite Mikey's New York Pizza.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I stepped inside the cafe and there was a mother & daughter having an afternoon tea together at the sofa area so I chose the table in the center so I won't look like I want to interrupt the two cute mother-daughter rendezvous. Walked to the counter to placed my order not knowing that it was casual dining place, I just straight assumed that it was self-service cafe like any other cafes. Thankfully they don't mind and I didn't make a fool of myself.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Although I came for the dessert but once I saw the scones, I couldn't say no. I love scones more than cakes. The scones was big and they have 3 different flavours, original, raisins and berries. The original was sold out so I got the raisins since I don't eat berries. Pair it up with a hot mocha and I'm all set for an evening with myself.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The raisin scone came with clotted cream and jam, and they also gives you free water but unlike any other cafes like I mentioned on the above paragraph, they will pour the water for you like any casual/upscale dining place. To be honest, I kinda resent that because you have to call them every time you want them to fill it up. I rather do it myself and call them once only to refill the water jug. And yes, I drink a lot of water on a daily basis. I bring my own water everywhere I go too. So a cafe that gives you free drinking water is a plus point for me.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The mocha was good and they give like 3 sachets of brown sugar to sweetened your coffee. I used all 3 sachet tho. While I was sitting and just minding my own business and silently taking pictures of everything that was on my table, I couldn't stop looking at the two ladies having the afternoon tea in front me. I just realised how jealous I am with that girl. Both of them just keep on talking and laughing and giggling and clinking their tea cups with their pinkies up. A little inside of me is dying for a moment like that with my mom although I know that would never happen. That is one lucky girl.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
So to distract myself from being overly jealous of that mother-daughter bonding time that I longed for, I took out my laptop and check if there's any apps that needs to be updated: none. Whenever I go to a coffee shop, I will never forget to bring my laptop just in case I could steal a minute or two to draft a new post on my blog or just update any required apps. Absentmindedly asking for the WiFi password (and it was a cute one), and wow! The WiFi speed was like .... I don't know how to describe it but it was hella fast! Since I have nothing to do, I downloaded like 7 movies, 8 variety shows and 9 music videos & 12 songs. While waiting for the download to finish, I visited all the blogs that left their messages on my tagboard. All downloads done in 35 minutes. I swore to myself that this will be my go-to place if I ever needed to use WiFi.

Overall, this cafe is by far one of my favourite place to hang out, be it alone, with family or friends. The ambience is just perfect with the soft ballads on the background. But sadly, I kept this post in my draft for way too long that the cafe is no longer in business. So I feel bad and slightly irrelevant to publish this post although I have like 3 more drafts about this place. I managed to paid a visit like 3-4 times and even though the cafe is closed for good, I will keep on posting my previous visits. All the best to L. Wendy on your new store in Singapore, y'all Singaporean really need to head to this cafe and eat as much confectionary from The Tiny Temptress as you can because you might be missing out something really good. Who knows she might pack everything again and open a business somewhere else before you even get to try it.

Thank you for reading. Much love from me, T.

    1. Believe me, I cried when she announced the closing dateline on her instagram haha

I love that! That sidenote, I totally agree. One will go out of their way to do or create something that they long for, in a way that one can afford to do so.

    1. Aww sorry that I didn't order the unicorn cake during my first visit (this one) but *spoiler alert* I did order the unicorn cake on my second visit, which I will post about it soon hehe
You do? I haven't try that ice cream yet even though I had it right in front of my eyes before.
It was cosy, the waiters was so nice to turned up the music and a/c temperature for me and make it even more cosy than it already is.
Thank you my love, inshaAllah I will xx

Yup ! I'm glad someone paid attention to that haha
And I was updating my Macbook software about 4.6GB and it only took like 6-7 minutes (not sure if anyone can see it clearly in the photo above). If I did that at my usual (or any) mamak, probably took me 3 days to finish downloading hahahaha the wifi speed was no joke !

  8. Terus sedih when you said this cafe is no longer in business. Aww, what a shame. This cafe would totally make me comfortable to hang in too. The decor looks nice and the foods looks good and cute. Al-Fatihah to your mum (she's never really far from you, Tqa). <3

    1. I know right? Takde angin takde ribut, tau2 je tutup. So hard to find a really nice cafe that open for business for years ! Kalau ada, that's good. Most of the cafes that I went to, either move away, move location, changed name and theme or just.. closed.
I don't know how hard to keep a cafe running but... *deep sigh* *husnudzon* maybe dia nak cuba market Singapore pulak kot hahaha

You are going to love it I swear. I brought my friends there and they totally love it.
Thank you Ain, she's always near me, I just have to keep remember that :)
